Biography, Life Story

Tawfiq Okasha was born on July 12, 1967 in nabruh, Dakahlia governorate, Egypt. He is the chairman of the board of Directors of Al-Fara’in channel, and one of the founders of the Egyptian National Party, which was founded after the 2011 Egyptian revolution.

He became deputy of nabrouh constituency after winning the 2010 Egyptian people’s Assembly elections as a member of the National Democratic Party (NDP) after the withdrawal of the candidate Fouad Badrawi. He participated in the establishment of the Egyptian national party after the January 25 Revolution and announced that he would contest the presidential elections, but he changed his position and returned to run for the people’s Assembly from the nabrouh constituency, heading the list of the Egyptian national party, but did not win a seat in Parliament.

He was prevented from appearing on television by a court decision, but was challenged and returned to the screens again. On March 15, 2012, he was sentenced to six months in prison for slandering Laila Marzouk, the mother of Khaled Said, who died of severe beatings by security agents in Alexandria governorate in July 2010.
