Renee Zellweger was born on April 25, 1969 in Katy, Texas, in the United States. Her father, Emile Zellweger, is a Swiss-born Australian architect who married Renee’s mother in 1963. Her mother, Kilfried Zellweger, is a Norwegian-born nurse and midwife. She has a brother named Drew Zellweger, born on February 15, 1967.
Renee Zellweger attended Katie High School in 1981 and became the head cheerleader for team sports, then attended the University of Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a major in English in 1991.
