Biography, Life Story

Najwa Karam was born on 26 February 1966 in Zahle district, Lebanon, to a Maronite family, started her career as a teacher and started singing in the eighties, in 1985 she participated in the program “nights of Lebanon” and won the gold medal. In 1989, she released her first album, “yahabaib”. Her second album “Rich Shams”, released in 1992, was a huge success. In the following years she released several more albums at the rate of an album per year.

It is noteworthy that she only sang in the Lebanese dialect, which distinguished her from the rest of the Lebanese artists, and she is famous for singing muawwil of all kinds, in addition to national songs, she also sang alongside the great artist Wadie Safi through a song and Kabbara, which was a duet that tells a dialogue between the girl and the father and achieved a sensation in 2003.

Lebanese journalist George Ibrahim Al-Khoury called her the title of Shams Arabic song, and there are many other Qab called her where he called her the title of Queen of Attaba, magna, money of Lebanon and Al-wafiya. Finally, the composer Melhem Barakat called her the title of Hanouna, in addition to an adjective that the composers describe as the bearer of the banner of the Lebanese song.

Najwa Karam participated in the arabz Got Talent Program as a member of the jury of the program, along with the media Ali Jaber and the Saudi actor Nasser Al Qasabi in the copies 2011، 2012، 2013، 2014، 2015.
