Mai Selim was born on 6 November 1983 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates to a Jordanian father of Palestinian origin and a Lebanese mother, the sister of artist Mays Hamdan and media mogul Dana Hamdan, who studied Business Administration at the Naval Academy.

She worked as a model in the musical clips in her artistic beginnings, such as the clip” my eyes “by Hisham Abbas and the artist Hamid al-Shaari, and since the beginning of her artistic career has presented several albums, songs and filmed several videos, and recently turned to the field of acting in film and television in Egypt and worked in several roles.
