He has two older brothers, Rodrigo and Matias, as well as a sister, Maria Sol. At the age of five, Messi started playing football local club coached by his father Jorge called grand cannoli. In 1995, Messi moved to Newlands old boys in the city of Rosario, his hometown. He discovered in his eleventh spring that he had a lack of growth hormones, and the River Plate Club showed its desire to include Messi, but his management lacked the money to pay for the treatment of his condition, which is 9 900 per month. Messi attracted the attention of Carlos Rexach, the sporting director of FC Barcelona, who heard of his talent through a call from Messi’s relatives in lard, Catalonia, so Messi’s family got an opportunity to offer him to FC Barcelona, so he moved with his father to Spain, where he offered his talent to manage the club, so impressed that they offered Messi’s family to move Based on this, the family moved to Europe and began Messi playing in the youth teams at the club.

Messi currently plays for FC Barcelona and the Argentine national team as a striker and winger. Considered the best footballer of his generation, he was nominated several times for the Ballon d’or and the best footballer in the world at the age of 20 and 21 and won them at the age of 22. His playing style and skills were compared to those of Diego Maradona, who himself declared Messi his “successor”.

Messi started playing football at an early age and his abilities were soon discovered by Barcelona. Rosario left Newell’s old boys youth team in 2000 and moved with his family to Europe, as Barcelona offered him treatment for growth hormone deficiency. In his debut in the 2004-05 season, he broke the team record for the youngest player to score a goal in the league. He was honoured, but the biggest honour for him was Barcelona winning the league in his first season, winning the League Cup, the Spanish Super Cup and the Champions League in 2006. He made his debut in the 2005-06 season with the first team, and in the 2006-07 season he scored three goals (hat-trick) in the Clasico, finishing the season with 14 goals in 26 games. The 2008-09 season was perhaps one of his most successful, with Messi scoring 38 goals and playing a key role in securing the treble: the League Cup, Spain and the Champions League. In the following season 2009-10, Messi scored 47 goals in all competitions, equalling the number Ronaldo with Barcelona. He surpassed this figure in the 2010-11 season with fifty-three goals in all competitions.

By 2011, Messi had won five Spanish league titles with Barcelona, three Champions League titles and scored in two finals, against Manchester United in the Champions League final in 2009 and 2011. Although he was not on the field when Barcelona beat Arsenal in the 2006 Champions League final, he received the winners ‘ medal. After scoring 12 goals in the 2010-2011 UEFA Champions League, Messi became the third player (after Gerd Muller and Jean-Pierre Papan) to top the scorers in three consecutive UEFA Cup campaigns. However, Messi is considered the first to win the title of Champions League top scorer for three consecutive years after the change of the Champions League in 1992.

Messi was the top scorer of the 2005 FIFA U-20 World Cup with six goals, including two in the final. Soon after that, he became an important and fundamental player in the Argentine national team. In 2006, he became the youngest Argentine to play in the football World Cup and received a silver medal at the Copa America the following year. In 2008, in Beijing, he won his first international honour, an Olympic gold medal, with the Argentina Olympic football team. At international level Messi scored 23 goals in 68 games.

Messi first had an affair with Lemos Macarena, a girl from his hometown of Rosario. He is said to have known her from the girl’s father’s side when he returned to Rosario to recover from his injury a few days before the start of the 2006 World Cup, and was reportedly previously linked to Argentine model Luciana Salazar. In January 2009, he told the program “hatrek PRSA”, shown on the Catalan “channel 33”: “I have a girlfriend and she lives in Argentina. And I’m relaxed and happy.” He was seen with a girl, named Antonella Roccuzzo, at a carnival in sedges after the derby of Barcelona and Espanyol, and his last compatriot from Rosario as well.

Two of his cousins also play football, namely: Maxi, who plays as a wing for the Paraguayan club Olimpia, and Emmanuel biancucci, who plays as a midfielder for the Spanish club Girona. He gave birth to his girlfriend Antonella Roccuzzo on November 2, 2012 and was named thiago.
