Biography, Life Story
Jiah Khan was born on February 20, 1988 in New York State, United States, and raised in Chelsea, the daughter of Ali Rizvi Khan, an American of Indian descent, and Rabia Amin, an 1980s Indian actress from Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. Khan has two younger sisters. Her original name is Nafisa, but she changed it to Gia after the 1998 film Gia with Angelina Jolie. She has appeared in several Bollywood films, and starred with Aamir Khan in mirjadusis Gajini, in a remake of the Tamil film of the same name. She was nominated for the partial financing of the film “Yahoo” Ken Ghosh with Shahid Kapoor, but was replaced by Jim d’souza. Despite this, UTV animation (which supported “Yahoo”) signed a contract with her for a two-year, film deal; and gagini producer Mado Mantena signed with her three films shortly thereafter.
Her first appearance was in front of the famous Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan in the movie “nishaped” where she played a teenager who falls in love with the father of her friend. And the last role of Gina was in the comedy film “house full” in 2011.
Indian police have announced they have found Indian actress Gia Khan dead inside her Mumbai apartment. A policeman in the Mumbai Police Control Room said: the actress (25) was found hanged in her apartment around midnight. The police interrogate her maid and her neighbours and suspect that she has committed suicide.
The news came as a shock to all the stars of Bollywood, including the first Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan and the godfather of Indian cinema, who wrote on his Twitter” what! Jiah Khan? What happened? Is that true? It’s incredible!”.
