George Clooney was born in 1961 in Lexington, Kentucky, United States, to his father, journalist Nick Clooney, and his mother, former model Nina Clooney, of Irish Catholic descent. He played baseball and then moved on to acting.
His first appearance on television was when he was five years old, in the program presented by his father. The first official television appearance was in the series (Centennial) in the year 1978 when he turned twenty years old. The acting was the movie (Batman & Robin) in 1997, then he returned to the small screen through the cartoon series (South Park). One of the most prominent films in which he participated was (Ocean`s Eleven) in 2001 alongside Brad Pitt, and the shocking success resulted in two other parts of the film. And he acted in many films and his star shined in the sky of Hollywood.
Clooney entered the world of directing in 2005 with the movie (Good Night, And Good Luck).
Since the 2004 US elections, Clooney has been involved in the political field, as he has been a supporter of the Democratic candidate, John Kerry. In 2006, he visited the Darfur region of Sudan, and is considered one of the biggest supporters of the secession of South Sudan, and he visited Juba, the capital of the new state of South Sudan. This led some to speculate that Clooney had political ambitions, such as his fellow Republican-leaning actor and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, but he denied this. And he was appointed in 2008 the Messenger of Peace of the United Nations.
The handsome star Clooney was known as the most famous bachelor in Hollywood, especially since he did not appear in any serious relationship since his divorce from the star Talia Balsam in 1993, until he married the Lebanese lawyer Amal Alamuddin in the fall of 2014.
He bought a house on Lake Como in Italy in 2004, in which he shot some scenes of Ocean’s Twelve.
